The first edition of our new family songbook series is here! Each song in the Fiddle collection is brought to life through colorful and engaging illustrations by award-winning artist Jaime Kim. This beautiful book will inspire your family to play with music all week long and can be a great jumping-off point for creative storytelling with your child. We look forward to sharing it with families this September!
The Triangle collection features a perennial Music Together favorite, Allee Galloo. What does "Allee, galloo, galloo" mean? Nothing! Singing nonsense syllables is a great way to get children to focus on the sounds of music, rather than on language. Young children teach themselves the basics of music and language at the same time, and research has suggested that children may be distracted by words in songs. Singing songs without words removes the distraction of language so children can focus on core musical elements such as the basics of pitch and rhythm. Check out a fun "Music Together Live!" version of Allee Galloo here on the Music Together YouTube channel: Music Together Live! Allee Galloo

It is so refreshing to delve into a new song collection each season! Music Together has nine song collections that include a mix of original songs and traditional tunes from a variety of genres and styles. In each collection you'll find songs, rhythmic chants, tonal and rhythm patterns, and instrumental play-alongs in many tonalities and meters.
This Fall, we'll enjoy the Bongos Collection, which includes lots of upbeat, active songs like “See How I’m Jumping,” our take on the timeless nursery rhyme “Hey, Diddle, Diddle,” and beautiful melodies such as the Japanese song “Hotaru Koi” and “Walking through the Woods.”
At Music Together of Norman, we value family music making! Mommies, daddies, grandparents and caregivers are all welcome to attend class. In fact, we believe children learn best from their most important role models--the people who love them! The upcoming Summer Songs 3 collection features the Music Together classic, "Me, You, and We," plus favorites like "See the Pony Galloping," and the Spanish folksong "Tingalayo." We'll dramatize the nursery rhyme "Old Kind Cole" and sing about your favorite foods in "Apples and Cherries." Join us in this Summer for our 5-week summer session and fill your family's summer with music, fun, and friendship!
